Interview with Paul McCusker!
Recently I had a written interview/Q&A with the Incredible Paul McCusker!
Here is the interview:
Me: 3. What is your favorite episode you have written so far (that can be any episodes from album 1 to 56)?
Was that a cool interview or what? I want to say thank you to Mr. Paul McCusker for taking time out of his busy day!
Until next time
-Michael
Here is the interview:
Me: 1. What is your favorite episode in album six that you wrote?
Paul: I'm not a big fan of picking favorite episodes, if only because it's so hard to do. I still have great affection fro "Heatwave" because of the silliness of it – and Phil Lollar's direction hit the comic timing just right. But the underlying message of "A Mission for Jimmy" is important, too, so I'm happy about how that episode turned out.
Me: 2. Were there any episodes or ideas in album six, that you wanted to write but never did? If so what were they about?
Paul: I suspect that I wanted us to do more with "Wonder World" than we ultimately did. It showed up from time to time, of course, but I had hoped that "Heatwave" might kick off more in that realm. And I believe "Elijah" introduced the Imagination Station as a two-seater, which was fun. We used that again as time went on.
Me: 3. What is your favorite episode you have written so far (that can be any episodes from album 1 to 56)?
Paul: That really is impossible for me to answer.
Me: 4 What piece of art from album 1 to 56 is your favorite art done by Gary Locke? http://www.aiowiki.com/ wiki/Album_art_changes
Me: 5 If you could re-write any AIO episode what would episode would it be?
Actually, I feel like I actually did rewrite "Good Business" a few times – through changed lines and various edits over the years. The theme I wanted to explore was the folly of trying to make money without having to work for it, but the way the plot unfolded gave some listeners the impression that I was against people who manage other people, or that I was a socialist or communist or something. If I could rewrite that one, I would work to clarify the real point I had hoped to make.
Was that a cool interview or what? I want to say thank you to Mr. Paul McCusker for taking time out of his busy day!
Until next time
